Financial Services - Data Analysis & Visualisation

 Desired Outcome:  

  • To organise and analyse a large volume off unstructured data, resulting in a data vizualisation and associated reports, identifying unit holders and their proportional rights, following a collapse of the fund. 


Scope: 

  • Ingest unstructured data from several sources. 
  • Develop a structured data cube. 
  • Analyze data to determine volume and proportional entitlements.
  • Provide data vizualisation and associated reports.
  • Liaise with and report to, executives of the administrator around progress and outputs. 
  • Timings: Three (3) months duration. 


Outcomes: 

  • Molico provided desirable outputs across all required elements.
  • All elements were completed within three (3) months. 
  • Total project costs charged by Molico were as quoted. 

Yamaha Motor Australia - Develop Outsourced Procurement Model

 Desired Outcome:  

  • To provide an outsourced procurement model for parts, products and manufacturing services, in order to create a prototype product in New South Wales, whilst maintaining a high level of  secrecy. 


Scope: 

  • Work with key Yamaha personnel to understand design capacity requirements. 
  • Develop a list of required products, parts and services. 
  • Conduct a market scan to identify potential suppliers. 
  • Develop an RFI and distribute in order to short list. 
  • Assess RFI responses and visit suppliers to assess feasibility, capability and stability. 
  • Create a purchasing stream through AAC, such that Yamaha remained unidentified. 
  • PM supply of goods and services against critical quality and timeliness needs. 
  • Liaise with and report to, Japanese engineers around progress and methodologies. 
  • Timings: Twelve (12) months duration. 


Outcomes: 

  • Molico provided consultation across all required elements and expanded the project management service to international suppliers in the United States. 
  • All elements were completed within eleven (11) months. 
  • Total project costs charged by Molico were as quoted.

BHP Billiton - New Operational Product and Process Study & Implementation

 Desired Outcome:  

  • To determine output functionality, fiscal benefit and integration potential of a new type of transport technology on mine sites, with a view to assessing global manufacturers, suppliers and supporting businesses to determine the most appropriate fit for purpose, pricing and legislative requirements. 


Scope: 

  • Work with key BHP personnel to determine possible advantages of known and discovered desired outputs, in line with any specific legislation across transport, WHS and mining regulations (WA).  
  • Determine most appropriate configuration of product to meet needs.  
  • Conduct a global market scan to identify potential suppliers. 
  • Develop an RFI and distribute in order to short list for an RFP. 
  • Assess RFI responses and develop an RFP, distribute.  
  • Develop RFP scoring matrix to determine shortlist for visitation.
  • Visit shortlisted RFP respondents to determine feasibility and view demonstrations.
  • Make recommendation on shortlisted respondents, including product, spares, support and training, so that BHP may prepare contracts for supply. 
  • Timings: Twelve (12) months duration. 


Outcomes: 

  • Molico provided consultation across all required elements and created additional value for the client through assisting them to gain a federal government operating approval for new types  of transportation systems. 
  • All elements, including RFI, RFP, visitations and final recommendations were completed to BHP’s satisfaction, within nine (9) months from issuance of the initial purchase order. 
  • Total project costs charged by Molico were several thousand dollars below the original estimate.
